Why Can't I Buy "Eagle Safe" Electricity?

The top article on page 1 of today's Minneapolis Star Tribune concerns the alleged threat posed to eagles by a controversial wind farm proposed for the southeastern part of Minnesota.  "Avian mortality" is the industry term for bird and bat fatalities caused by wind turbines and associated structures.  The "condor Cuisinart" of Altamont Pass, California, is perhaps the most infamous example.

If I can go to my supermarket and buy "dolphin friendly" tuna, why can't I buy "eagle friendly" electricity from my local utility.  If I am willing to pay more to ensure that my tuna is sourced from dolphin friendly providers.  I should have a similar option for electricity.  This seems like a business opportunity that's gone begging.
