Congrats to the Beckhams

The Wall Street Journal adds their best wishes to those congratulating David and Victoria Beckham on the birth of their fourth child, Harper (the editorial is available to all on the net).  Others have managed to turn the occasion into a screed against carbon consuming humans.  I especially liked this quote from the Journal,

"It's hard to argue with the logic that forgoing new life will avoid the problems it brings.  But this also ignores that young Harper Beckham might grow up to be more than a bundle of carbon emissions clamoring for more resources to consume.  Humans create many of our own problems, but we're also the only hope of solving them."

Indeed.
