From Grist comes this YouTube video showing the Mayor of Vilnius, Lithuania, in a tank, crushing a Mercedes parked in a bike lane. Staged or not, it says something about the liberal mind.
Now Mercedes owners aren't a sympathetic group, but progressives are always talking about "proportionality" in the administration of justice, so the automotive "death penalty" seems a big out there for a parking offense. Wouldn't showing the Mayor slapping a ticket with a hefty fine on the windshield make the same point? From whence comes this impulse to destroy?
And where did the city get money for the tank? For the Mercedes?
