The U.S. Government's Energy Information Administration (EIA) reports that for the first time since 1949, America's petroleum exports exceeded its imports in 2011.
Now it's true that we are still a net importer of crude oil, importing almost half of the crude oil we need, but our exports of gasoline, diesel fuel and the like, now exceed our imports of those products. Good news for America and it indicates an area where we can increase jobs.
